Bakkafrost snaps up another vessel

Vessel that worked for energy giant Petrobras until earlier this year moves into aquaculture.

A Norwegian offshore support vessel recently chartered by Brazilian giant Petrobras is being transferred into the aquaculture sector.

Salmon farming giant Bakkafrost acquired Havila Princess, built in 2005, owner Havila Shipping said on Monday.

No sale price was given, although Havila said the transaction represented “no loss” for the company and would have a “limited effect” on its financial results.
