Russian pollock industry says to expect higher prices as Red Sea conflict takes its toll

An escalation of the conflict in the Red Sea has forced container service operators to change routes, driving up freight rates.

“The situation in the Red Sea will either raise prices for Russian and Asian fish products for European consumers or reduce the profitability of certain types of fish products when supplied to the EU,” PCA President Alexey Buglak said.
